Fee calculator for Marktplaats, 2dehands, Vinted and eBay
You buy a jacket for €20 and want to keep €25. What do you ask? On Vinted the answer is nearly the same everywhere, but eBay takes commission, so the price has to be higher. Enter your amounts and see it per marketplace.
What each marketplace charges the seller
Marktplaats
In most categories Marktplaats charges no commission, and the buyer pays for buyer protection. Paid extras, such as a top ad, and the business plan Marktplaats Pro are not included in the calculation.
2dehands
According to the 2dehands help centre, selling is free in most cases, with no commission or transaction fees. In Cars and Motorbikes you pay from the second listing. For a payment request with Bancontact, 2dehands charges a €0.40 service fee; the buyer pays it by default, and you can take it over if you want to.
Vinted
Sellers pay nothing on Vinted. The full amount goes into your Vinted wallet. The buyer pays the Vinted fee, which used to be called the buyer protection fee. Only optional services, such as bumping your item, cost money.
eBay.nl
- Private seller: 11% of the total up to €1,990 and 2% above that, plus €0.35 per order (€0.05 under €10) and a 0.42% regulatory fee.
- Business seller: usually 11% up to €990 per item and 2% above, plus €0.45 per order over €10 (€0.35 up to and including €10) and a 0.35% regulatory fee. This differs per category, for example 11% up to €400 for jewellery and watches and 6.5% up to €300 for photo and camera.
- Listing fees (from €0.35 per listing for business sellers without a shop) are not included, nor is VAT on the fees.
